We recently learned of the plight of one of our Jax Mc Media team who is constantly on hand to help us when we need her.
Amanda was diagnosed with cancer five years ago and had a major surgery sadly recently the cancer returned and a few days ago Amanda had further major surgery.
After this most recent surgery she is happy to report that all is looking good.
She said "I had cancer in my womb, so they removed everything, 5 years ago it was my right kidney so thankfully it's all bits I can live without"
Amanda is a long term (15 years ) coach of Deveronvale U16s, U13's U11's U9s. the girls at the club have been fantastically supportive sending her get well messages and some gifts to cheer her up.
Amanda said "My girls have been great I was very spoiled with a hamper full of goodies, cosy socks, a blanket and lots of pamper items and also the biggest bouquet of flowers. I've been very transparent with them, so they know all that's happening.
The club is my second family."
"I coach Deveronvale U16s, U13's U11's U9s . Myself and my husband Martin do all the girls side, I am also part of the U15s Scottish schools coaching team as well. They have been brilliant in supporting me as well."
She also told us how proud they all are that the Deveronvale have been crowned the best community football club in Scotland in the recent SFA Grassroots awards.
