An absolutely amazing performance was put in last night by Scotland Women's National Team.
It took only 2 minutes for Scotland to open the scoring with a beautiful strike by Erin Cuthbert deflecting off the Swiss defender and into the back of the net, the record breaking crowd of 4.098 erupted with cheers and applause the sound was amazing.
Next up was Kim Little on 5 minutes who played several passes before doing a brilliant turn in the box beating two defenders to get her shot off, and again another deflection sent the keeper the wrong way and put Scotland 2-0 up.
This was short lived as only 2 minutes later it was Switzerland's turn to hit the back of the net,
Dickenmann the Swiss Captain was found unmarked outside the box, and with a great pass from about 12 yards out she calmly slotted the ball home 2-1 at the half time whistle.
Both teams came out after the break looking for that goal, and with several half chances at either end neither team could convert and the score remained 2-1 until the end.
Erin Cuthbert was Player of the Match and the youngster fully deserved it, her energy and work rate was fantastic to watch throughout the entire match, despite several strong challenges, she dusted herself off and got on with the game.
Scotland will now play Albania away on Tuesday 4th September at The Loro Borici Stadium, Shkoder with a 4:00pm ko UK time, where a win is a must to have any hope of qualifying.
