Pre-match thoughts from Stirling University Head Coach Barry Rodgers:

"It will be a challenging game on Sunday against Spartans, they are a good side with players who can cause you problems".

"I have been happy with the performances of the team in the last couple of games, we will be looking to improve again on that at the weekend and finish off strong before the summer break".

Edinburgh University Hutchison Vale Head Coach Mike Ross said:

"Delighted with today's win. The players put everything into the game and I'm delighted for them as a group - they showed real character to come back with all 3 points".

"We started the game well today and hit the bar early but against the run of play Aberdeen hit us on the break and scored a well taken finish to make it 1 - 0. We created lots of chances in the first half but just couldn't equalise".

At half time we spoke about what we needed to do to convert our chances to goals. In the 2nd half we managed to do this and saw us score 3 good goals and hit the post also which could have increased the lead".

"The players have been working so hard in training recently and it's always great to see what we work on put into games. We have been on a good run of form recently and we now look forward to the 2nd half of the season to see how high up the league we can finish".
