Spartans and SWPL Head Coach Paul Greig said:
"Firstly thank you to Forfar today for the fantastic hospitality and all the best to Mark and his squad for the forthcoming games".
"Today was always going to be a test for us against a good Forfar side. The game plan was to try and control the game with and without the ball and play a little more courageously than we have in previous weeks with a stronger attacking threat".
"From the first whistle we felt we did that and were rewarded in the 39th minute with a fantastic strike from Alana".
"At the break we spoke about sticking to the game plan we set and while looking to enhance a few areas to ensure we stayed on top throughout. The girls started the second 45 very strongly, breaking lines and creating a couple of opportunities. As in every game you play, we had to ride a storm for a spell as Forfar chased an equaliser but an excellently worked free kick from Simone found Kaela at the front post to head home our second of the day".
"Collectively a good team performance as we chase to have a successful April/May"
Edinburgh University Hutchison Vale Head Coach Mike Ross said:
"Credit to Aberdeen for their performance today. We started very poorly and gifted them 4 very easy goals. 2nd half we actually competed and deserved at least some goals for the opportunities we created".
"But the damage was done 1st half and I will work with the team to improve this week and we can't allow this to happen again".
"We look forward to next week - these players will bounce back. We have a good group of players but today we frustratingly weren't at the level we expect".
