Goalkeeper Lee Alexander, becomes Scott Booth's latest close season signing as she returns to the club she has spent almost her entire senior career.
After 5 successful seasons at City, Lee left the club last year to sign for Swedish side Mallbackens. This followed a trophy laden career with City, including a penalty save which helped Glasgow City go all the way to the quarter finals of the Champions League in 2015. Commenting on her return to the club, Head Coach Scott Booth said, "Lee is no stranger to Glasgow City. She left at the end of my first season at Glasgow City to pursue a professional contract in Sweden. The experience gained from playing abroad can only help a player and I'm sure her all round game has improved because of it. We are very fortunate to already have two outstanding goalkeepers at the club but Lee will ensure that competition for the No1 top is as incredibly high." On being back at City, Lee said, "I am delighted to return to a club that is very close to my heart. I can't wait to get back on to the pitch."
