Over the next two weekends students from all over Scotland are invited to attend trials in Edinburgh (5th November) and Glasgow (12th November) and can sign up through this form goo.gl/jdlKbh
This opportunity is open to students studying at both Colleges and Universities regardless of competing for their academic institution in respective BUCS/SSS competitions. Any questions regarding the program or if you require support completing the form then please contact the Team Manager or the Head Coach.
SSS are proud to be able to offer this opportunity to Scottish students and aspiring women’s football players across Scotland.
Previous players have included the likes of Christie Murray, Khym Ramsay and Hayley Lauder who have since gained professional contracts and played football full time.
This program is an excellent chance for students to represent Scottish Student Sport against our British counterparts and raise the profile of Scottish student football.
Head Coach Tommy Craig added, “This is a great opportunity for players to represent their institutions and play against the very best players in further and higher education in England. Our Scottish 1A teams have done exceptionally well over the past few years in the BUCS competitions and I’m certain when we come together we can replicate this.
I would encourage those studying and not involved in their institutional sporting programmes but playing SWPL 1 and 2 to come forward. Student sport is an unique experience and with this being the first SSS squad in almost six years then I’d like to think that females studying in Scotland would be keen to grasp the opportunity.”
We look forward to seeing lots of students involved in the trials and keep eyes peeled to our social media for the selection announcement!
