We are delighted to announce the signature of Republic of Ireland youth international defender Keeva Keenan.
Following a successful trial at the club, Keeva has put pen to paper and joins up officially with the Scottish Champions on Monday.
The 18-year-old versatile defender who can play in full-back and central defence joins from Dublin side Shelbourne and played every minute of Ireland’s Under 19 European Championship qualification campaign.
Commenting on joining City, Keeva said, “I am delighted to have been given the chance to be part of such a successful team. It's a great club and I've heard nothing but good things about it. I really look forward to meeting up with the squad and to get going.”
Glasgow City Head Coach Scott Booth said, “We are delighted Keeva has joined Glasgow City. She is a really strong character, has great technical quality and a drive to succeed so she is perfect for this club. We can’t wait to have her as part of the team.”
Keeva and the rest of the City squad are back in action after the mid-season break on Sunday 31st July when they take on Forfar Farmington at Airdrie’s Excelsior Stadium, 1pm.
The City supporter bus will be running for this game and for all home games until the end of the season, departing from Shawlands in Glasgow. For more information, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
